Thirty years ago the designers Christian Roth and Eric Domège started an adventure in New York which not only resulted in a range of legendary eyewear designs but also made an important contribution to the development of eyewear into real fashion accessories. Christian Roth was the first eyewear brand invited to join the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) which marked the definite change of perception of eyewear from functional vision aid into desirable accessory. The innovative designs, the use of bright and bold colours and luxury materials and of course the daring and very creative images, all contributed to a complete own oeuvre. Started in New York, where they collaborated with artists like Andy Warhol, the design studio recently moved to a sunny Miami.
