November 3 and 4, the yearly Dutch Sunglasses Fair will take place. This time the organization has chosen the Rijtuigenloods at Amersfoort as the ideal location. Bobo’s Eyewear, Marchon, Charmant, Menrad, Eschenbach, Marcolin, HOYA, Frands Jensen, OWP and Polaroid will certainly participate, maybe others will follow. Sunday is “kid’s day” with a lot of facilities for the children who can play, bake pancakes and do whatever they like, guarded by trained and skilled employees. While they enjoy themselves the parents can have a look at all the booths, orientate or even purchase already. On Monday the Dutch opticians union NUVO will use the same location for its yearly Members Meeting. After the success of two evenings where the Union presented all new and future innovations which will influence our business, this same topic will be a major part of the Members Meeting. Quite a good idea as all of us have to face a future where 3D printing and many other innovations will become daily business. In short, two days of learning and having fun for everyone.
