Awards for BBGR in the category “vision”, for the Japanese company Masunaga in the category “sunglasses”, for Bollé in the category “sport” and for Lucas de Stael for a frame made of stone. This year the SILMO d’Ors were rather predictable. All winners showed themselves very happy with this Award which certainly guarantees a lot of publicity and definitely has a commercial value. It is always nice to be the best although in this case apples are compared to pears and the criteria are not always clear. As we mentioned before, we would support a more serious election system which would increase the value of these Awards.
