As per January 1st 2011, Ron de Bruijn has been appointed Vice President Essilor North-West Europe (Benelux and Scandinavia). As a result of this appointment he will delegate a few of his current tasks and responsibilities to Alex Versteeg who succeeds him as Commercial Director Essilor Benelux. Alex will be responsible for the sales of the lenses and instruments in the Benelux. He joins the management team North-West Europe and reports to Ron de Bruijn. Frank Rijksen and Nico Smits are appointed as respectively Sales Manager North and Sales Manager South Netherlands to support Alex in his new job. A new face at Essilor is that of Geert Fernhout. He joins the team as Business Development Manager North-West Europe. Geert used to work as Marketing and Sales Manager at training and organization development specialist Schouten Nelissen.
