This month, American company MODO launches it ECO collection in the Netherlands. The collection with both sunglasses and prescription frames is made of 95% of recycled material. Of course the package as well is made of environmental friendly material. In addition the company plants a tree for every sold frame and contributes 1% of its sales to the 1% for the planet initiative which uses the money to support new ways of sustainable production methods. With this collection opticians attract an increasing group of eco-aware consumers. They are in good company. Leonardo di Caprio recently bought a pair of ECO sunglasses at the ECO store at New York.
