Italia Independent likes to describe itself as a “style” brand rather than a “fashion” one but that did not prohibit the founders from asking fashion designer Eric Wright to design the new apparel collection for Spring/Summer 2012. The brand presented the new collection last Monday in Milan together with the new prescription frames, sunglasses and other accessories. The accessories as well clearly show I-I’s desire to reinvent classic icons and present them in a new original way like they do for example with their famous (sun)glasses in velvet. Italia Independent is already very successful in Italy and ready to conquer the rest of the world. The Club BRILLANT opticians will launch the brand in the Netherlands with a spectacular show during the upcoming Amsterdam International Fashion Week in July. The event promises to become the talk of the town, even more because Lapo Elkann and Eric Wright will both be present.
