HOYA Corporation’s new Lifecare division with products such as lenses, contactlenses and intra-oculair lenses, reports an increase in sales of 4,9% in the first quarter of the company’s financial year which closed at June 30. Operating income increased with even 13,1%. All of it of course compared to the same period last year. France, The Netherlands and Germany did very well with lenses. Spain and Italy stayed behind. The United Nations of America increased sales with 6%. Japan remained stable whereas the rest of Asia showed double-digit growth figures.
