HOYA closed the first six months of its financial year on September 30 and reports an increase in sales of slightly more as 9% for the Group and even almost 27% for the “Life Care” division including the eye lenses. Now that the company solved all the problems followed by the disaster in Thailand in 2011, the plants there produce even more as they did before the flood. Acquisitions as well contributed to the good results.
