In the first half year of 2013 Essilor increased sales worldwide with 1,8%. At constant exchange rates this would have been 3,7%. Sales in Europe remained more or less the same as in the previous year. Growth have been realized in Latin America and Asia. Acquisitions as well contribute to an increase in sales. Essilor remains positive for the next six months of this year and still expects revenue sales of 7% for the whole year. It will continue to invest in new and innovative products like Crizal Prevencia, in mid-range products to profit from the growth of this segment and of course in acquisitions.
