H&M is once again worldwide news. The fashion giant launches the next collection by a famous fashion brand. And at the best possible moment as the party dresses by Lanvin suit perfectly to the Christmas month and certainly at many Christmas dinners the girls will show their new Lanvin dresses. Spots on television as well as articles and interviews with designers Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz already created the hype and consumers will assault the stores on Tuesday morning November 23. In short, an immense lot of positive publicity for both Lanvin and H&M and for fashion in general. Quite a contrast with the optical industry. Last week the Dutch press reported about a fight between Hans Anders and a new cheap discounting chain and only a few weeks ago we had the same kind of story between Specsavers and Pearle. Quite a pity as the optical branch has many exciting things to offer although consumers very often have to search intensively for it. Where are the most beautiful collections and where are the exciting promotions? Probably a good intention for 2011 for all of us?
