Assuming regulatory approval will be no problem, Cooper Companies (mothercompany of CooperVision and CooperSurgical) will buy family owned Sauflon for 1,2 billon dollar. The acquisition makes CooperVision the largest player on the fast-growing market of daily disposable lenses which is strategically important for the company. The deal is expected to be finalized before the end of the fiscal year which Sauflon expects to close with a increase of 22% up to 210 million dollar.
