Yesterday the half-yearly Club BRILLANT Inspiration Day took place at Amsterdam. This time the current developments in retail and the necessity of segmentation were the main topic. At the end of the day the Dutch fashion press joined the Club BRILLANT opticians and their employees for the presentation of the very first G-Star RAW Eyewear collection. Gary Plunkett, Global License Director of G-Star RAW, talked about the history of the brand, its philosophy and of course about the new eyewear collection. The more as 200 guests, press and (Club BRILLANT) opticians, listened carefully and could see and try the frames and sunglasses after the presentation. G-Star RAW is an iconic brand with Dutch roots and the designers managed to create a collection with lots of the well-known G-Star RAW features and characteristics. All in all a great event and once again the proof that independent opticians can distinct themselves from the competition. However, they need to make choices, work more intensively together with the brands they carry and should present the different segments in their stores much better. The message of this Club BRILLANT Inspiration Day was absolutely clear: still a lot to do but also a lot to win!
