The agreement was already announced but only signed officially yesterday. Marcolin will introduce the first Diesel sunglasses collection in 2011 followed by a first collection of prescription frames in 2012. The agreement will last for at least five years and can be renewed after. The collections will be sold in department stores, the more than 500 own Diesel stores and, of course, at selected opticians worldwide. Diesel is known for its collections and striking and unusual advertising campaigns. It belongs to the Only the Brave imperium of Renzo Rosso just like other famous brands such as Martin Margiela and Viktor and Rolf. In 2008 Only the Brave posted sales of more than 1,3 billion euro.
