In the second quarter of this year, Luxottica realized a record sales of more as 2 billion euro. That is an increase of more as 7% compared to the same period last year. In the first half year of 2013 sales totalled almost 3,9 billion euro which is an increase of 5,8% compared to the same period last year. Ray-Ban and Oakley remain money makers just like Sunglass Hut which recently opened a flagshipstore at Times Square in New York. In general “wholesale” performed better as the “retail” division. Operating income increased more as the sales which proves how smart Luxottica operates and pays attention to efficiency.
