Around September CooperVision will launch the new MyDay contactlenses with “Smart Silicone” technology. This smart technology allows to create a better oxygen transmission while using less silicones. Thanks to that efficient use of silicones the lens is more hydrophile as the average silicone hydrogel lens which results in a better moisturizing of the lens surface, a higher water content and a lower modulus for a softer and improved wearing comfort. Surveys are very promising of course. Whether it is all true, we can discover ourselves as of September when everyone can advise these new MyDay daily wear lenses to his or her clients.
