Yesterday Safilo officially announced the acquisition of the Fendi eyewear license. Earlier this week Marchon, which was the Fendi license partner since 1991, already confirmed this news. In the press release Marchon CEO Claudio Gottardi subtle mentioned the fact that during the last 18 months his company has announced five new license agreements: Valentino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Chloé, Nine West for the American market and of course Dutch proud G-Star. In addition the company acquired Scandinavian Eyewear and Dragon Alliance. Challenges enough for both companies and we look forward to all the new collections. By the way, Marchon guarantees its existing Fendi clients the warranties on Fendi products it delivered and assures a correct after sales service.
