Last Saturday the yearly Dutch Fete de la Vue took place at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin at Noordwijk aan Zee. After a welcome with champagne, the 375 guests, amongst whom a lot of Dutch Celebrities and fashion journalists of almost all major newspapers and magazines, enjoyed an intimate fashion show where Polaroid, Trussardi, Guess, Joop!, Sama Eyewear, Modo for Jason Wu, Italia Independent and Van Gils by Ralph Vaessen gave an impression of their s/s 2012 (sun)glasses collections. For Van Gils by Ralph Vaessen this was the world premiere of the collection. The show started with the deejays and a saxophonist joining together in playing “Welcome to Saint Tropez” which also was the theme of this whole evening. This sunny show was followed by a great dinner and afterparty. Press and opticians went home with lots of inspiration and the new sunglasses for 2012 already got the first attention.
