Despite the less good economic circumstances Essilor realized an increase in sales in the first half of 2011 compared to the same period last year. Sales increased with 6,9% to 2.060,1 million dollar. Profit increased to 371,6 million dollar. All segments of the market and all regions contributed to the growth just like the acquisitions. Essilor expects the same level of growth and profit for the second half of this year and expects to meet its full year’s targets.
